When I left the UK for Jamaica, JA Land and Property Services was a dream. Business is all about growth and that is exactly what we have been doing. From minor painting jobs, to helping homeowners find tenants, we now have regular landscaping contracts, have completed 2 bathroom renovations and have just managed to secure a contract for a house build in Clarendon.

I have been working really hard building my partnerships and business relationships as well being a mother to my 3 children.  It has not been easy and I continue to face challenges, pertaining to balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship. As I write this I am in the UK and and still running my business. The growth of my business resulted in me having to fly my children back to the UK so they have some form of stability. I will be going back to Jamaica without them. Us Entrepreneur's must face sacrifices to move forward in Business. This is one of mine. 

why? I am I telling you this? There are times in life, where we as individuals have to do what we have to do to move forward in life. I am a sole trader, a single parent and run all aspects of my business alone. I have the vision, but must align myself in order to achieve the goals.

Whilst in the UK, I shall be marketing my services and attending some networking events, with the aim of making myself more visible in the business world. I look forward to this next chapter and look forward to updating you all again!

Exactly 2 years ago, I migrated from England. Those of you who follow me on youtube have seen the journey. 

I am proud to say, JA Land and Property Services finally has a home, an office, a working space.

These last 2 years have been challenging in all sorts of ways. But the one thing I am grateful for is the progress being made.

Right now, my office is just an open space. I am currently awaiting my desk and chair and am feeling really anxious and excited all at once. There is so much to do in order to get set up and officially open to the public, but those that follow me know, I keep pushing.

 

16 months in and a new baby, but, business must continue as I have a service to provide for you, my customers.

I am coming to the end of my maternity leave and I could not be more excited than I am now to get back to work.

I have accumulated another 2 properties for rental, a new airbnb property and I am working on attaining some more.

Being a full time mum and running a business is no walk in the park, but, I have an aim, professional goals and being a mother to my 3 children is what motivates me to continue and to build this business to the capacity I know it can reach.

The next step for me is expansion. 

I am looking for empty properties on this Island for rental, both short and long term. Contact me if you would like to make an extra income from your empty home.

8 months ago, I migrated to Jamaica with my two young daughters, 3 suitcases and a registered business name.

This time last year, I was writing my business plan. Fast forward 12 months and I am a proud owner of a business that is still establishing itself, but has managed to fulfil the needs of our customers that reside outside of Jamaica.

Going from employed to self employed in the space of a year and a half has not been easy, but is very rewarding indeed!

I have been networking and have made some wonderful contacts within the property and construction industries, but there is still more work to do do.

JA Land and Property Services started as a vision and at times, I still can not believe that I am here on this beautiful Island and my vision has and is still manifesting.

My main aim is to bridge the gap between Jamaicans overseas and their empty properties. I am trying to change the perception of the fact that you can not do any business related to your property whilst you are not on the Island.

The past 8 months has been busy, but, as far as I am concerned, that is good! I wonder what the next 8 months have store for JA Land and Property Services!
